Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

It's Official: Tornado Touched Down In Stanhope, NWS Says Field investigators from the National Weather Service have determined that a tornado touched down in Stanhope, the agency announced Wednesday afternoon.  Much of northern New Jersey was under a tornado watch and the region was subjected to high winds and heavy rains between about 9 and 10 p.m. Tuesday night, but so far it appears only the Sussex County community was hit by a twister.  Details about the tornado, such as its speed and path, were still being determined. Teen Hospitalized After Being Hit By Train In Montclair A 15-year-old boy was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson early Wednesday after he was hit by a train in Montclair, an NJ Transit spokeswoman said.  The boy was hit at the Jerome Place grade crossing around 12:30 a.m. The train, No. 6299 on the Montclair Boonton line, was headed to Montclair State University, the spokeswoman said.  The spokeswoman did not have any information on the boy's condition. The train was the last one of the night and had just two crew members aboard, neither of whom was hurt.

Police Charge Nutley Man In String Of Graffiti Incidents Earlier this month an abstract symbol was found spray-painted at several places in Nutley, including Radcliffe Elementary School, where the C-shaped graffiti was discovered on an outside wall. The graffiti also popped up on Harrison Street, Ravine Avenue and Prospect Street. All of the incidents were believed to be related. On Wednesday, police charged a 21-year-old township man, Christian Providel, in connection with the incidents. He faces seven counts of criminal mischief. The investigation is continuing and may lead to others being charged, police said.
