Jackson Resident, Special Ed Teacher Indicted For Having Sex With Student: Prosecutor A special education teacher in Monmouth County has been been indicted by a grand jury for sexually assaulting a student, authorities announced on Tuesday, March 25. Student Brought Imitation Firearm To School: Howell Twp PD A student brought an imitation firearm to a middle school in Howell Township on Tuesday, March 25, authorities said. At 7:30 a.m., officers responded to Middle School North after the student created a 3-D printed imitation firearm, transported it on the bus and brought it school, Howell Township police said. The incident was reported to staff, who retrieved the firearm, which was inoperable and non-functioning, police said. There is no safety concerns for any students, police said. Man Arrested In Stolen Car: Fairfield Police A 29-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested while driving a stolen car in Fairfield on Thursday, March 20, authorities said. At 8:30 p.m., officers were alerted via an Automated License Plate Reader that had a car had entered town after being reported stolen in West New York on Sunday, March 16, Fairfield police said. Abandoned Gas Station Demolished In Skillman An eyesore is no more in Skillman. An abandoned gas station at the corner of Route 206 and Route 518 was recently demolished to the cheers of town officials as the excavator crashed through the broken down roof. “We are glad to finally move forward and see this eyesore removed from Montgomery’s busy commercial gateway,” said Deputy Mayor Vince Barragan. 94-Year-Old Driver Killed In Monmouth County Crash: Njsp A 94-year-old Marlboro resident was killed in a crash on County Road 537 in Monmouth County on the evening of Monday, March 24, authorities said.
