46-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Station In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. — The man hit by a commuter train near the Stratford station early Friday afternoon has died, Metro-North has confirmed. Metro-North spokesman Nancy Gamerman said the man was struck and killed by the 10:34 a.m. train out of Grand Central. Police: Two Shot, One In Critical Condition In Bridgeport Drug Deal BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two Bridgeport men were shot Sunday night and one remained in critical condition Monday morning after an altercation during an alleged drug deal on Iranistan Avenue, police said. According to witnesses, Brandon Thompson, 20, of Kennedy Drive, went with friends to Iranistan Avenue at about 11 p.m. Sunday to meet with Immanuel Whilte, 22, of Federal Street, to buy marijuana, police said.
