Bridgeport Man Spotted In Pickup Faces Burglary Charges In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man is facing burglary and larceny charges after a Toilsome Hill Road resident saw him inside his Chevy pickup just before midnight Sunday, Fairfield police said. Bridgeport Cyclist Injured In Head-On Collision in Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man with special needs suffered a broken leg when his bicycle collided with a car, throwing him into the windshield and 20 feet over the car onto the asphalt, police said. The 41-year-old cyclist was traveling west on Ludlowe Road at about 8:40 a.m. Saturday, when he collided head-on with a car traveling in the eastbound lane, police said. Missing Man Found Waist-Deep In Sewage In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A New York man visiting his sister during the holiday weekend ended up waist-deep in “dark-colored slime” at the Fairfield sewage treatment plant Sunday, police said. A Cummings Avenue woman called police around 4 a.m. because she was worried that her 27-year-old brother, who is out of work, spent the day drinking beer, went out for a walk an hour earlier and had not returned, police said. Fairfield Man Charged With Assault, Strangulation FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bronson Road man was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and leaving her bruised and unconscious by the side of the road Sunday morning, Fairfield police said.
