Bridgeport Girl, 13, Faces Shoplifting Charge In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 13-year-old Bridgeport girl was charged with sixth-degree larceny Friday afternoon after she tried to steal some items from the juniors department at Kohl’s in Fairfield, police said. Security staff at the Tunxis Hill Road store told officers they saw the North Avenue girl pick some items, valued at $54, and go into the fitting room. She then attempting to leave the store with the items in her purse, police said. The girl was released to her mother’s custody. She is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on June 14, police said.
