Body Of Missing Kayaker From Bridgeport Washes Ashore In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The body of a Bridgeport man who went missing on the waters of Long Island Sound on June 13 was recovered on Thursday afternoon near Lighthouse Point in Fairfield, police said.Two young girls made the grim discovery when they spotted the body floating at the edge of the water just steps away from beach houses in the area about 2:15 p.m., police said.
