23-Year-Old Mamaroneck Man Who Died Of Overdose Had Been Shot Days Earlier, Police Say A Westchester County man who died of a drug overdose was also previously involved in a shooting before his death, according to police. On Tuesday, Oct. 25 around 5 p.m., Mamaroneck Village Police responded to an apartment at 604 Tompkins Ave. where they found a 23-year-old man who had died of a drug overdose, police said. After more investigation, police discovered the man had suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder in a shooting that happened in White Plains on Friday, Oct. 21, according to Mamaroneck Village Police. Hudson Valley Man Found Guilty Of Firing Shotgun Through Floor Of Apartment Complex A Hudson Valley man was found guilty of firing a shotgun through the floor of his bedroom and into two other apartments in the building. According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, 36-year-old Kervin Jeanty of the Orange County city of Port Jervis shot the gun after an argument with his wife, and when police responded to the scene, Jeanty was outside wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a flare gun. Yonkers Man Gets Maximum Sentence For 'Horrific' Sex Crimes Against Child, DA Says A Westchester County man has been sentenced for repeated sexual conduct with a child and rape. Know Him? Yonkers Police Looking To ID Man In Hospital Police are asking for help in identifying a man who is receiving care in a Westchester County hospital. On Saturday, Oct. 22, Yonkers Police said an unidentified man was receiving care in a local hospital, and that they were unable to find proper identification for him. Police said that the man is believed to be a resident of the Getty Square area and that without identification, they would not be able to notify his family that he was in the hospital. Man Stabbed In Neck At New Rochelle Restaurant: Police A 38-year-old man was stabbed in the neck at a restaurant in Westchester County, police said. On Monday, Oct. 24 at around 9:30 p.m., police in New Rochelle responded to the 300 block of North Avenue, authorities said. Keep Your Pets Inside: Police Chase Coyote Out Of Lyon Park In Port Chester Police had to chase a coyote back into the woods after it was spotted in a public park in Westchester County. Lifelong Bedford Resident, Former 'Miss Mount Kisco' Dies A woman who was a longtime resident of Northern Westchester County and was once crowned "Miss Mount Kisco" died on Saturday, Oct. 8. Carole Ann Genussa of Bedford died at the age of 88, according to her obituary. Born in Mount Kisco, Genussa worked with troubled youth at the Pleasantville Cottage School for thirty years, and also volunteered at the St. Patrick's Parish for six decades, her obituary said.
