Hart Memorial Library at 1130 E Main St. in Shrub Oak. Leewood Drive In Eastchester To Close For 2 Weeks A road that serves as a connection between two major routes in Westchester County will soon close for two weeks.  According to the Westchester County Department of Public Works, starting on Monday, Oct. 31, Leewood Drive in Eastchester will be closed to all but local traffic between the following:  Westbound from Route 22 to the Bronx River Parkway; Eastbound from Dale Road to Route 22.  The closure, which is to allow for water main work, will last until Friday, Nov. 11, according to public works officials.

North White Plains Stop & Shop Customer Receives Counterfeit Bills From Checkout Machine: PD A customer using a self-checkout machine at a Westchester County grocery store received counterfeit bills as change, police say.  On Monday, Oct. 24 at around 4 p.m., North Castle Police received a call from a person who reported receiving two $10 bills from a Stop & Shop in North White Plains at 670 North Broadway, according to police.  The customer then completed a witness deposition, police said.  It is not known where the counterfeit bills came from.
