Lane Closures To Slow Traffic On Cross County Parkway In Mount Vernon Part of the Cross County Parkway in Westchester County will soon be affected by lane closures.  Starting on Monday, Jan. 9, and lasting through Thursday, Jan. 13, one lane of the Cross County Parkway will close in each direction in Mount Vernon at exit 9 between the northbound and southbound Hutchinson River Parkway, Department of Transportation officials said.  The closures will last from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and will facilitate guide rail work.  Drivers are encouraged to slow down in work zones during construction.

Driver Caught After Flipping Stolen Car On Ramp Of Cross County Parkway In Yonkers: Police A man driving a car stolen from out of state was caught after accidentally flipping the vehicle on the Cross County Parkway in Westchester County, police said.  On Thursday, Jan. 5, police tried to pull over a car reported as stolen on the Cross County Parkway westbound in Yonkers, but the driver did not stop, Westchester County Police said.  The vehicle then left the parkway on Yonkers Avenue, where it then rolled over on the ramp, ending the chase.  The driver, identified as 22-year-old Davonte Hadley, was then arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen proper…

Man Punches Woman In Face Before Fleeing In Yorktown, Police Say A Fairfield County man is facing charges after he hit a woman and fled in Northern Westchester, police said.  On Tuesday, Jan. 3, around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a reported assault at a home in Yorktown and found that a suspect had punched a woman in the face and injured her before leaving the residence, according to Yorktown Police.  Later that night, around 10:45, the suspect turned himself in to police and was arrested.  The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Marc Woll of Danbury, was charged with third-degree assault.  Woll was arraigned in court on Wednesday…
