Young Boy Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car In Peekskill A 13-year-old boy was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Northern Westchester.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, around 3:30 p.m., police in Peekskill responded to the 500 block of North Division Street between Constant Avenue and Phoenix Avenue, where the boy was struck by a grey Honda Civic driven by a Cortlandt Manor resident, according to Lt. Unusual Pistol Replica Makes It Through Bradley Airport Security TSA agents in Connecticut made an interesting find in one woman's carry-on bag.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, TSA officers at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks found a replica of a Flintlock pistol that had been retooled into a key hook in the bag, according to a tweet by TSA New England spokesman Dan Velez.  The woman was eventually allowed to bring the pistol replica on her plane in her checked bag, Velez added.  The incident at Bradley is the second one in the same week involving a key hook resembling a firearm, as a similar incident happened at Logan International Airport in Bost…

Winning $3 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Connecticut A lucky winner purchased a winning Mega Millions ticket at a gas station in Granby.  The winning ticket, valued at $3 million dollars, was purchased on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at the Cumberland Farms in Granby located at 19 Hartford Ave., according to the CT Lottery.  The name of the fortunate person who bought the ticket was not announced. Because the Mega Millions jackpot was not won though, it now stands at $1.35 billion for the next drawing, which will be held on the unlucky date of Friday, Jan. 13.

Armed Robbers Hit Post Office In Waccabuc, Police Say Police are investigating an armed robbery of a post office in Northern Westchester.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, around 4:30 p.m., police in Waccabuc responded to the post office located at 2 Post Office Rd. to a reported armed robbery, according to Lewisboro Police.  No injuries were reported from the robbery.  Police were still on the scene as of around 7 p.m., and are still investigating the incident.  Multiple police departments are involved in the investigation.  This is a developing story. Man Shot Dead By Officers To Stop Him From Stabbing Woman In Hudson Valley, Authorities Say A man was fatally shot by police in the Hudson Valley in an effort to prevent him from killing a woman after abducting her, according to authorities.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, around 9:45 a.m., agencies in Putnam County responded to a domestic violence incident in Kent that involved an abduction, according to Captain Michael Grossi of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Car Flips On Side, Closing Hudson Valley Road A crash in the Hudson Valley left a car perched on its side and a road closed for a period of time.  On Friday, Jan. 6, around 4 p.m., officials in Putnam County responded to an accident in Mahopac on Clark Place for a reported vehicle rollover, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.
