Woodbridge Installing Metal Detectors At High Schools: Superintendent The Woodbridge Township School District is installing metal detectors at its high schools after a student brought a loaded gun to school earlier this month. On Tuesday, March 18, a 17-year-old was arrested at Woodbridge High School after a loaded gun was found in his backpack, after he sent another student threatening text messages, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Township Police Director Joseph Nisky said. $50K! Cinnaminson Powerball Player Wins Big It was a sensational Saturday for two Powerball players in New Jersey. Tickets sold in Burlington County and Essex County matched four white balls, with one matching the Power Ball and the other matching the Double Play ball in the drawing held on Saturday, March 29, winning $50,000. The tickets were sold at ShopRite in Cinnaminson and Time Telecards in Newark. The winning numbers were 07, 11, 21, 53 and 61. The Powerball was 02 and the Power Play was 03. Woman Critical After Newark Stabbing, Man Arrested: Police A woman is in critical condition after being stabbed in Newark on Saturday, March 29, authorities said. At 9:42 p.m., police responded to Vailsburg Terrace and Linden Avenue and found a woman stabbed by a man she knows, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, while the man was arrested at the scene, Miranda said. The man, who was not identified by police, is charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault and multiple weapons offenses, Miranda said.

Shooting Leads To Illegal Handgun, Arrest Of 18-Year-Old Easton Resident: Prosecutor An 18-year-old Easton man was arrested as authorities continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in Phillipsburg on Friday, March 28. at 5:45 a.m., Phillipsburg police responded to Spruce Alley on a report of a ShotSpotter and discovered bullet cases and bullet holes outside a residence, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. Akil Gilbert, an 18-year-old Easton man inside the residence, was found to possess an illegal 9mm hi-point handgun and high capacity magazine, authorities said. Man Made Nazi Salute, Attempted To Rip Down Pride Flag At Donut Shop: Matawan Police A 61-year-old Holmdel man was arrested and charged on Saturday, March 29, after he attempted to rip down a pride flag from Main Street Donuts, later returning to make a Nazi salute, authorities said. Man Fatally Shot While Driving in Mount Laurel: Prosecutor A man was fatally shot while driving on Route 73 in Mount Laurel on Sunday, March 30, authorities said. The man, whose name is being withheld, was discovered bleeding in the 1000 block of Atrium Way at 2:30 a.m., Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw and Mount Laurel Township Police Department Chief Timothy Hudnall said. Drunk Driver Arrested After Car Overturns: Lopatcong Police A 35-year-old Hackettstown woman was arrested and charged driving while intoxicated following a crash in Lopatcong on Monday, March 24, police said.
