Danbury Music Centre Celebrates With 80th Anniversary Gala DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Music Centre will host its 80th anniversary Grand Gala on April 9 at the Danbury Amber Room Colonnade.  The gala will feature dinner, dancing, music by the Norm Hathaway Big Band, a cocktail hour (cash bar), a silent auction, mystery wines and a Clue-inspired scavenger hunt. The gala is from 7 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $100 per person. The proceeds will benefit the Danbury Music Centre. Ted Cruz will host a town hall event at Mekeel Christian Academy on April 7, according to Time Warner Cable News. Head of School Chad Bowman said he is unsure why Cruz is holding a town hall style-event rather than a rally, but that they are excited and honored, Time Warner Cable News reported. Road Work Forces Closures Of Road In East Fishkill EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Palen Road in East Fishkill will experience lane closures beginning on or around Monday, April 11, for the Bridge E-9 project.  Work includes the installation of roadside drainage, stone scour protection, final paving and striping and topsoil and seeding.  One lane of the bridge will remain open through the use of a controlled traffic signal during roadwork.  The road will be open to two-way traffic from approximately 4 p.m. to 8 a.m.  Work is expected to last approximately three weeks.

The close would come just after schools let out for the summer and earlier than its initially predicted 42 day period from July to August, The Redding Pilot reported.
