Edward Hopper House Announces Summer Programming
NYACK, N.Y. -- The Edward Hopper House will present concerts, artist receptions, family programs and film screenings this summer. First Fridays will feature receptions for Victor Mirabelli July 1 and Norman Galinsky Aug. 5. Rockland County Launches Recruitment Effort For Upcoming Police Exam
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Department of Personnel is recruiting for the next police exam, currently scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19. Prospective officers must meet the following criteria: Be at least 18 years of age to take the test and at least 21 and younger than 35 to be hired. Have two years of college (60 credits), two years' military experience or two years of post-high school work experience. Eastchester Music Boosters Launch Careers In The Arts Evening
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Eastchester Music Boosters hosted their inaugural Careers in the Arts event on June 3. More than 65 people attended, including students, parents and alumni. Each attendee left with a program booklet with experience and advice from more than 30 alumni and arts faculty representing a wide range of arts-related careers. NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle High School's AP Art History class visited the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City for a recent interdisciplinary learning experience. The students interacted with art educators at the museums and discussed how various art forms reflect critical political and social issues. The work was made possible from a National Society of High School Scholars grant.

PALISADES, N.Y. -- Six couples at the Esplanade at Palisades celebrated love by renewing their wedding vows on Tuesday, June 14. Town Supervisor Andy Stewart officiated the inaugural Wedding Vow Ceremony. A cocktail reception with live entertainment followed the ceremony. Oldest Resident Of The Greens In Wilton Turns 100
WILTON, Conn. -- The Greens at Cannondale resident Elizabeth Eason turned 100 this year. Commonly known as "Nippy," Eason has lived at the Greens since 2012 and is its oldest resident. A longtime resident of the Nutmeg State, Eason has lived in New Canaan for more than 50 years. Son Kirk and daughter-in-law Dagny live in Wilton and celebrated the occasion at the senior living community with director Andrew Krochko and owner Fred Rzeka.

The award was given at the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference's annual awards banquet in Norwalk on Tuesday, June 14. Retiring boys' golf coach Jim Tierney received a Gold Pass as a Life Member of FCIAC.
