Two Injured In Ambulette Crash In Greenburgh
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Two passengers were injured when an ambulette crashed into a utility pole in Greenburgh on Thursday afternoon. The Premiere Ambulette vehicle crashed around 535 Old Tarrytown Road and near the intersection of Knollwood Road at approximately 4 p.m. One 76-year-old female passenger is listed in critical condition after sustaining serious physical injury. The second passenger, a 49-year-old woman is listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Driver Michael T. Smith, 36, of Mount Vernon, denied any injuries to police. NY State Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Missing Teen
New York State Police are seeking the public's help in searching for a missing Arizona teenager. Morgan LaRose, 16, has been missing since Tuesday, July 19. She is 5-foot-4 tall, around 140 pounds and has dark hair that's purple on top and short shaved on the sides. Morgan has several ear piercings and surgery scars on her arms. The Arizona teen was visiting family at a residence on Route 11 in Central Square, north of Syracuse. State Police request that anyone with information regarding Morgan's whereabouts call 315-366-6000.

State-Wide Drought Watch In Effect
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos recently issued a statewide drought watch, the first since 2002. "While most public water supplies are still generally normal throughout the state, below normal precipitation over the last nine months, low stream flows, and reduced groundwater levels have prompted the need for this action," Seggos said. Danbury's Tails Of Courage Participates In Clear The Shelters Initiative
DANBURY, Conn. -- Tails of Courage will participate in the Clear the Shelters initiative by offering reduced rates for adult dogs and kittens on Saturday, July 23. The initiative is co-sponsored by NBC 30 Connecticut News and the Connecticut Humane Society. Adoption fees will be $150 for kittens, $25 for adult cats, $200 for adult dogs and $50 for pit mixes. Adoption fees for certain adult dogs can be waived for veterans and active military members with proof of service. Tails of Courage is at 39 Smith St. in Danbury. The initiative will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- The Rockland Boulders will play the Ottawa Champions for Irish Heritage Day on Saturday, July 23. Irish Heritage Day will feature performances by Cousins Moran, Early McLoughlin School of Irish Dance and the Rockland County AOH Pipe and Drum band before the game.
