BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Emil G. Abraham, a resident of Bergenfield, died Friday, May 13. He was 81.He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Bergenfield.
He is survived by his sons, Christopher and Michael Abraham; and grandchildren, Jackson, Steven and Jessica Abraham.
Visiting will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack.

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Mkrtich Tahmizian, a resident of Paramus, died Thursday, May 12. He was 94.He is survived by his children, Abram, Cirush and Armen; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Voski. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Monday at St. Leon Armenian Church, 12-61 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

He was 86.Born in Newark, N.J., he was employed as a bank manager with North Side Savings Bank in New York City. RIVER VALE, N.J. -- Mario Gobbetti, a resident of River Vale, died Friday, May 13. He was 79.He was a member of the BPOE Westwood and a parishioner of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church in Harrington Park.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Maria Knaus, a resident of Pearl River, died Thursday, May 12. She was 91.Born Nov. 30, 1924 in Stockendorf, Gottschee, Slovenia, she was the daughter of Mathias and Mary Schmuck.
She emigrated to Austria and then to Ridgewood, N.Y., in 1950 and had resided in Pearl River for the past 59 years. Locally, she was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church and a member of the Blessed Mother Sodality.
She was predeceased by her husband, Valentin; her twin sister, Rose and a sister, Lily.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Mary Ann Cafaro, formerly of Rutherford, died Thursday, May 12. She was 73.Born Aug.11, 1942, in New York City, she was a graduate of Mother Cabrini High School. She moved to Rutherford in 1976, where she raised her family. She retired from Kearny Federal Savings Bank in 2004.
She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Blumenthal and Stephanie Cafaro; son-in-law Greg Blumenthal; grandchildren, Carol-Ann Fitzsimmons, Gabriel Blumenthal and Madison Blumenthal.

She was 85.She was born in Passaic and had been a longtime resident of Waldwick before moving to Franklin Lakes five years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Wyckoff.
