Catherine Rose McGuire, 91, Of West Nyack
WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Catherine Rose McGuire, a resident of West Nyack, died Friday, June 24. She was 91.
She was born in the Bronx on Dec.26, 1924, to Owen and Rose (Mazzaro) Smith.
She raised her family in the Bronx, and eventually moved to West Nyack in 1970 with her husband, Bernard ('Barney') McGuire, and their family.
She worked at various jobs in her life including at a chocolate shop, White Castle hamburgers, Tuck Tape in New Rochelle (where she met her husband), Knit Studios in Nanuet, and Macy’s gift wrapping department.

Gordon E. Briggs, 82, Of Rhinebeck
RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Gordon E. Briggs, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Monday, June 27. He was 82.
He was born June 4, 1934, in Rhinebeck, to Augustus and Frances (Wetzler) Briggs.
On Dec. 21, 1954, he married Marcella (Clarke) Briggs. He served as corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed at IBM from 1955 until his retirement in 1992.
His wife died in 2012.

WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Antonia C. Allende, a resident of West Nyack, died Sunday, June 26. She was 77.
She was born on May 22,1939, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor of science degree in physical and occupational therapy. After moving to New York with her husband, she graduated with a master's degree in public administration from New York University.

She was born April 28, 1920, in Manhattan, N.Y.
She was a homemaker and a former member of the Carlo Rossi Fan Club.

PALISADES PARK, N.J. – Charles R. Kroncke, a resident of Palisades Park, died Thursday, June 23. He was 93.
He was an investigator for the New Jersery Alcoholic Beverage Control for more than 30 years. After retiring, he worked for the Bergen County Records department. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Dilley Schmitt, a resident of Saddle Brook, formerly of North Bergen, died Friday, June 24. She was 87.
She was a postal clerk for more than 20 years at the Fort Lee Post Office. She loved gardening, crocheting and baking.
