He was 93.Iessi was a fixture in Rockland County as a small-business owner for many years. He owned Ben Franklin's in New City and was past president of the Clarkstown Plaza Merchants Association and helped found the New City Chamber of Commerce. All Alfiere had to do was shoot from half-court and get it in the basket.
