HAVERSTRAW, N.J. -- Rafael A. Aviles Jr., a resident of Haverstraw, died Friday, Feb. 26. He was 61.He retired from Con Edison after almost 40 years of service.
He is survived by his parents, Rafael A. Aviles Sr. and Martha R.Bueno; his wife, Aixa A. Aviles; three sons, Johnny, Joseph and Frank; three daughters, Kellie, Jessica and Jennifer; eight grandchildren; and his sisters, Mariana, Mindy and Linda.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main St., Haverstraw. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday.

CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Michael John Beggs, a lifelong resident of Carlstadt, died Thursday, Feb.25. He was 57.He was the proprietor of Beggs Electric in Carlstadt, working as an electrician for 40 years with his late father, who started the business.
He is survived by his sons, Michael John Beggs Jr. and Mickey Daniel Beggs. He was the son of Anna A. Beggs and the late George R. Beggs; and brother of Barbara Ann Beggs, John W. Beggs and Patrick G. Beggs.
He was predeceased by his wife, MaryAnn Beggs.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Albert E. Puente, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Wednesday, Feb. 24. He was 90.
As a Navy veteran, he served during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn. He was a supervisor with the Foundation for the Handicapped in Wayne. Previously, he was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in the Bronx until 1982.
