BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Putnam ARC, based in Brewster, the leading provider of services for people with developmental disabilities in Putnam County, showcased its accomplishments at its annual general membership meeting in Carmel. Crossfit XT Sends Team To Vahalla Trauma Mud Run
VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Members of Crossfit XT in Hawthorne got to run through the woods, scramble through mud and climb obstacles as part of the fifth annual Westchester Medical Center Trauma Mud Run in Valhalla. The race is a fundraiser for the Joel A. Halpern Regional Trauma Center's Burn Center, and covers nearly 5 kilometers. Norwalk Community College Collects Food, Screens Film On Nelson Mandela Day
NORWALK, Conn. – International Nelson Mandela Day is being commemorated by Norwalk Community College with a food drive collection and film screening. Non-perishable food items can be placed in labeled boxes through Monday, July 18 in the main lobbies of the East Campus and West Campus. Donations will be distributed to NCC’s Food Pantry and Open Door Shelter in Norwalk. Open Door Aims To Increase Westchester Cancer Screenings
Open Door Community Health Centers signed a pledge to help increase colorectal cancer screening rates in Westchester and Putnam counties.
