Bear Wanders Into Franklin Lakes Garage
FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Residents in Franklin Lakes are reminded to close their garage doors following a bear incident on Navaho Trail Drive, according to nj.com.A bear wandered inside a couple's unopened garage and got into food, according to nj.com. Saddle Brook Celebrating National Night Out
SADDLE BROOK, N.J.– National Night Out Against Crime with be observed in Saddle Brook on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Washington School. Members of the Saddle Brook police department will be joined by first responders from the volunteer fire department and ambulance corps from 6-9 p.m. The event is meant to increase awareness about police and public safety programs. Edgewater Golfer Qualifies For 68th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship
PARAMUS, N.J. -- A teenager from Edgewater is the only girl from the state to advance in match play at the 68th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, according to northerjersey.com.This is the second year Kelly Sim, 16, made it to the championships, which are at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, according to northerjersey.com. ENGLEWOOD, N.J.– Registration for boys and girls youth hockey in Englewood is underway in person or online. The league is open to both residents and non-residents ages 4 to 14. Cost is $600 residents; $900 non-residents. PARAMUS, N.J. – A weekend program to earn an associate degree is offered by Bergen Community College. Students can complete an associate of science degree program in two years through classes taken exclusively on Saturdays, Sundays and online. The program, “Weekend College at the Meadowlands,” will reside at the institution’s location in Lyndhurst, which opened in 2008.
