1,000 Asians Expected At Teaneck Health Festival
TEANECK, N.J. -- Asians who are uninsured can get no-cost medical screenings Saturday, Oct. 1 at a health fair in Teaneck. Holy Name Medical Center is expecting more than 1,000 Asians at its 8th Annual Health Festival. Participants will be able to get results of blood tests, meet with physicians and undergo additional screenings as part of the medical center’s event, organized through the hospital's Asian Health Services. In Tribute to Bobby Williams, Earlier this month, a bright light of goodwill and decency was lost in Ossining and to all the people that knew him. Bobby Williams was a person of infinite goodwill. He was also smart, but with that intellect he was given a speech impediment that made it hard for him to express himself. Ramsey Nereid Boat Club Members Get Rowin'
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- On any given day, almost all year around, they're out there on the Passaic River, launching from Rutherford's Nereid Boat Club, rowing in groups, pairs or even solo. Some are part of Rutherford's team rowing under the Nereid Club banner and come from as far away as Ramsey, Glen Ridge and Tenafly to be part of a team.
