New North Arlington Pizzeria Offers Recipes From Grandma
NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Residents in North Arlington have a new place to grab a slice with the grand opening of Nonna Lisa Pizza. The borough's mayor and council officiated a ribbon cutting with owner Joe Middletown and his wife and children, who look forward to serving the community with their family eatery. Nonna Lisa is named in honor of Middletown's mother-in-law who passed in 1993. Italian dishes will be prepared at the restaurant in a grandmotherly way. GREENWICH, Conn. -- An architecture firm from Greenwich designed an award-winning kitchen that was built in a Danbury wood shop. The project is being featured in the October issue of New York Cottages & Gardens (NYC&G) Magazine. The kitchen was designed by Laura Kaehler Architects of Greenwich, Conn. and fabricated by Hallmark Designs in Wood. Joe Brennan and his staff built the custom kitchen in their shop in Danbury, Conn. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The public is invited celebrate Columbus Day on Saturday and Sunday in East Rutherford. The parade begins Saturday at noon, and steps off on Paterson Avenue at Hermann Street. The route continues to Park Avenue for the festivities.
