Leonia School Organizes Casino Night Fundraiser
LEONIA, N.J. -- A Casino Night Fundraiser to benefit the Anna C. Scott Home & School Association in Leonia takes place Friday, May 6. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the school and there are less than 100 tickets left.Cost is $40 per person and includes $50 in gambling chips, prizes, hors d'oeuvres, wine tastings, a dessert buffet, cash bar and DJ. Rutgers Continuing Studies is offering summer reading programs for residents in New Jersey.Reading skills and speed reading programs are available to for children and adults. The programs cover phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, study skills, speed reading, and love of reading. Bergen County Earns $300K Selling Paramus, Mahwah Solar Credits
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco received approval from the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders for the sale of 1,362 solar renewable energy credits (SRECs). With prevailing market forces valuing one SREC between $240-280, Bergen County expects to earn more than $300,000 through the sale of these SRECs. Under the New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program, one SREC is earned for every 1,000 watts of electricity generated through solar installation projects.
