HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Adults can get in shape with a summer walking challenge at the Hasbrouck Heights Library.The challenge is open to the general public as well as to library patrons. The goal is for each participant to walk a total of 50,000 steps by the end of August. Stop by the library’s circulation desk and a staff member will explain how the program works. Dog Rescued After Being Left In Hot Car At New City ShopRite
NEW CITY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Sheriff's Office rescued a dog left in a hot car and arrested a Lodi, N.J., woman for leaving it behind while she was visiting someone at the Rockland County Jail in New City, according to police. Paige Sheehan, 40, allegedly locked her dog in the car on Saturday, June 18 after being told by Rockland County Jail staff she couldn't bring the canine inside. TEANECK, N.J. -- Bryant School in Teaneck is one of 10 finalists in the 2016 Let’s Play Video Contest, courtesy of Dr Pepper Snapple and the national non-profit KaBOOM!. Northern Valley Demarest Athlete Earns Scholarship From Closter Fire Ladies
CLOSTER, N.J. -- The Ladies Auxiliary of the Knickerbocker Hook and Ladder Co. announce the presentation of its 2016 scholarship. Veronica Corcoran was the recipient and the scholarship was presented at the Demarest Senior Awards Assembly at Northern Valley High School. Janice Pierro, Recording Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary and Mary Ellen Cerbasi, Financial Secretary, made the presentation at the school.
