Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Jersey City Substitute Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 14-Year-Old A substitute teacher for the Jersey City Board of Education has been charged with sexually assaulting a teen boy at her home, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.  Elyse Castillo, 45, was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and other offenses.  Castillo, who last worked for the district in November, allegedly assaulted the 14-year-old victim on multiple occasions between June 2018 and August.  She was being held at the Hudson County jail and is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Thursday.

Robber Drives Up, Swipes Victim's Bag And Takes Off: Montclair Police Police in Montclair are looking for a robber who drove up to his victim last week and took off with his duffel bag.  He was walking east on Glenridge Avenue near Baldwin Street Thursday when a white sedan with New Jersey tags pulled up alongside him. A man in the passenger seat got out and grabbed the wheeled bag. The car took off east on Glenridge.  The duffel contained a laptop computer and clothing.  The suspect is described as black with short black hair and a short black beard. he was wearing a dark-colored zippered shirt and blue jeans.

Woman Struck And Killed Near Newark Library A woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle around noon Tuesday near the Newark Public Library, authorities said.  The driver who struck her left the scene and was last seen heading towards McCarter Highway.  The Essex County Prosecutor's Office later said the driver was later found by Newark police and prosecutor's investigators a short time later.
