Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Police Looking For Person Who Vandalized Bayonne Church Police in Bayonne have released images from surveillance video (attached) showing a person suspected of destroying a crucifix at a church last week.  On Wednesday, police were called to St. Vincent de Paul Church on Avenue C, where a witness said someone pulled a crucifix out of the ground, breaking it in half, then smashed one of the two pieces before fleeing.  The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, about 5'8" to 5'10" and approximately 25 years old. Man Known As 'Maniac', Second Newark Man Sentenced In Fatal Shooting Two men were sentenced last week to 40 years in prison each for their roles in the fatal shooting of a New Brunswick man, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said.  Michael 'Maniac' Martin, 28, and Rayshawn Riddick, 33, were convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy in July.  Authorities say Hakim Williams, 31, was found shot to death in his car on Fulton Street in New Brunswick Aug. 18, 2017. Man Accused Of Setting Two Vehicles On Fire In Bayonne A 40-year-old Bayonne man was arrested Saturday on a charge of arson, police said.  Jamil J. Golson, 40, was taken into custody at 19th Street and Avenue C on a warrant issued in connection with a fire Sept. 19.  Around 2 a.m. that morning, the Bayonne Fire Department found two vehicles engulfed in flames at 27th and Broadway. After putting the fire out, investigators determined that cardboard boxes nearby had been set alight and the fire spread to the parked vehicles.  Police investigators identified Golson as the person who started the fire.

West Orange Man Accused Of Stabbing Orange Woman To Death The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has announced the arrest of man suspected of stabbing an Orange woman to death in her home Thursday.  Katrina Perry, 34, was found dead in her home in the 100 block of Main Street. On Saturday, Christoper Dudley, 34, of West Orange, was arrested and charged with murder.  Little additional information was immediately available but authorities believe the two had been dating.

Westfield Contractor Ripped Off $135K From Clients: Prosecutor A contractor in Westfield has been charged after he accepted a down payment to build a new home but never did any of the work, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.  Ralph A. Rapuano, 37, agreed to build a $1.35 million home for a couple in October 2018. Police Looking For Person Who Smashed Crucifix At Bayonne Church Police in Bayonne are investigating a reported act of vandalism at a church Wednesday night.  Officers were called to St. Vincent de Paul Church on Avenue C around 8:45 p.m., where a witness said someone described only as a male broke a crucifix installed on the church's lawn.  The person pulled the crucifix out of the ground and threw it down, breaking it into two pieces. He slammed a piece of it against the wall, shattering a carving of Jesus.
