Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Mail Carrier From Harrison Admits Part In Credit Card Theft Ring A 24-year-old postal worker from Harrison pleaded guilty to fraud, bribery and identity theft charges for his role in a scheme in which he recruited other mail carriers to steal credit cards before they were delivered, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Monday.  Moussa Dagno, who was arrested last year, paid other carriers $100 for each card they stole. Plainfield Man Who Stabbed Girlfriend Almost 100 Times Sentenced A Plainfield man must serve most of a 60-year sentence imposed for the murder of his live-in girlfriend, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.  Anthony James, 57, called 911 Sept. 28, 2011, and was arrested when police found the body of Audrey Tanksley, 48, at their East Seventh Street home.  James claimed that Tanksley was the aggressor in a dispute between the two, but an autopsy revealed that she had been stabbed nearly 100 times, authorities said.  James, who was found guilty in February, must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he's eligible for…

Police Charge Man In Brutal Attack On Bayonne Dog A 22-year-old Bayonne man has been charged in connection with the beating of a woman's dog in her home March 27.  John A. Cedano was being held at the Hudson County Jail on two counts of animal cruelty, Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said Monday.  "Biggy," a 10-year-old cocker spaniel, had sustained a black eye, liver damage, burns  and other injuries. The attack occurred in the home of his owner, Iris Charles, while she was at work, she told investigators.  Biggy was still under a vet's care this weekend.

Death In Jersey City Under Investigation The Homicide Unit of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of a 60-year-old man Saturday afternoon.  Jersey City police were called after Gregory Harvey was found at 112 Wilkinson Ave. Harvey had sustained head injuries, the prosecutor's office said.  A cause of death had yet to be determined Sunday morning.  Anyone with information regarding the death is asked the call the prosecutor's office at 201-915-1345. Newark Man Found Guilty In Drug Deal That Turned Fatal A jury found a Newark man guilty of conspiracy in the murder of another city man during a drug deal three years ago, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.  Shaheed Blamahsah, 31, arranged to meet Bruce Turner, 29, on Dec. 31, 2015, at 13th Avenue and Camden Street in Newark. Turner was shot seven or eight times and was robbed of about $30,000, according to a witness.
