Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Fatal Shooting Of East Orange Man Under Investigation The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking information on a shooting that claimed the life of an East Orange man Wednesday. Timothy Tyreek Melendez, 31, was shot around 1:15 p.m. in the 200 block of North Grove Street. He was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where he died about eight hours later. Major Main Break In Guttenberg, Several Still Without Water An apartment building and a number of individual homes were still experiencing low or no water pressure hours after a main break in Guttenberg Thursday, Suez Water said in an alert.  The break occurred sometime before 6 a.m. at JFK Boulevard and 71st Street in Guttenberg.
