Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Thieves Take iPhones, Watches Worth Thousands From Bayonne Store Police are looking for three people who stole thousands in merchandise from a T-Mobile store in Bayonne Monday afternoon.  The three male suspects entered the store at 201 Bayonne Crossings Way around 12:45 p.m. and began browsing. Police said that according to employees, the three suddenly grabbed iPhones and Apple watches from their displays and fled.  About $3,500 in merchandise was taken, police said.  The theft remains under investigation.  .

Teen Stabbed In Union Tuesday Morning A teen boy was stabbed in the abdomen with a knife Tuesday morning, Capt. Scott Breslow of the Union Police Department said.  Little information about the incident was immediately available, but the boy, who is believed to be about 15, was wounded shortly after 8 a.m. at 1571 Walker Ave. He was taken to University Hospital in Newark.  Police are still working to identify a suspect, Breslow also said.

Update: Woman Pistol-Whipped And Mugged In Newark, Suspect Charged UPDATE: A suspect was charged in this robbery Tuesday. Click here for more.  Two men jumped out of a car on Ferry Street Sunday morning in Newark and robbed a passerby, WABC 7 reported.  Surveillance video shows the woman getting pistol-whipped by one of the assailants before both jump back in the car. The woman was unhurt.  Police believe the Newark robbery may be connected to robberies the same day in Kearny and East Newark. One person, a 17-year-old, was arrested in East Newark but two are still at large.

Jersey City School District May Lay Off Hundreds: Report Following a marathon board meeting Monday night, the Jersey City Board of Education voted to lay off more than 400 staff.  The layoffs would take effect at the end of the school year.  School officials blamed a $33 million reduction in state aid for forcing them to cut positions including 250 teachers, NJSpotlight reported. Man Wanted In 8 Towns Arrested In Clark A New York City man wanted on warrants issued in communities across North Jersey was arrested in Clark on a drug offense last week, police said.  Joye Rosario, 23, was picked up May 6 on charges of narcotics possession, possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, intent to distribute within 500 feet of a library and hindering apprehension  Police also discovered warrants for Rosario's arrest were issued in Cranford, Elizabeth, Linden, New Brunswick, Rahway, Secaucus, Tinton Falls and Woodbridge.
