Man Brought Hunting Bow, Knife To Middle School: Middlesex PD A 30-year-old Warren man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, March 18, after he was found to be in possession of a hunting bow and a knife near a middle school in Middlesex, authorities said. At 11:31 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man, later identified as Robert Villa, with a camouflaged bag used for transporting weapons, trespassing at Von E. Drunk Driver Crashed Into Police Car: Denville PD A 48-year-old Denville man is facing numerous charges after he drove drunk and crashed into a police car on Wednesday, March 12, authorities said. At 3:30 p.m., officers responded to Cooper Road for a report of a two-car crash involving a law enforcement vehicle, Denville police said. Steven Vasquez, the other driver, was determined to be intoxicated and he was arrested, police said. Vasquez was charged with assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and other traffic offenses, police said.

At 11 a.m., officers responded to West Bay Avenue and Heritage Point Boulevard and found the crash, Barnegat police said. A 2020 Ford F-150, driven by a 69-year-old man, was traveling west on West Bay when it collided with a 2018 Acura entering the roadway to travel eastbound, driven by the 82-year-old, police said.
