Plain-Talking Sex Therapist Role Catapults Ridgefield Actress To The Top RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — A town actress who took to the stage to play ahead-of-her-time sex therapist Dr. Ruth has now taken home top honors for her work at the annual Square One Theatre Subscribers Awards. Alice McMahon, star of the Stratford-based company’s “Becoming Dr. Ruth,” was named Outstanding Actress in voting among the company’s nearly 1,000 subscribers. Westport Police: Norwalk Man Flees Scene Of Crash Into Mailboxes WESTPORT, Conn. — A Norwalk man who crashed his car into several mailboxes in Westport and ran off was arrested Friday after officers found him not far from the scene, police said. Daniel Molina, 22, of Wolfpit Avenue, was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane, police said. Molina was driving on Big Pines Road in Westport around 6 p.m., when his car struck the mailboxes and a large post, police said. Fairfield Cops: Thief Made Off With Prescription Pot ID Card FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Knapps Highway woman who left her car unlocked overnight told police she lost two purses, one containing her medical marijuana ID card, police said. The woman, who reported the theft at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, believes someone took the purses between 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday, police said. Missing are a beige knit bag containing a Verizon flip phone, $25, her driver’s license, medical marijuana ID and other cards and her mother’s black Anne Klein bag worth $50, police said. Fairfield Cops: Woman Takes Wrong Turn, Ends Up In Flipped Car FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Massachusetts woman traveling through town on her way to see family Sunday night wound up in the hospital after a a car crash left her vehicle flipped on its roof, police said. The 63-year-old Worcester woman was traveling from Pennsylvania to Rhode Island and took the wrong lane at the I-95 rest stop near Round Hill Road around 11 p.m., police said. Fairfield Police: Trumbull Man ID'ed By Paycheck Found At Crash Site FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Trumbull man turned himself in to police Friday in connection with two car crashes that left him in critical condition in April, police said. Nicholas Reich, 26, of Lawrence Road, was charged with evading responsibility, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane, police said. Driver In Preschool Crash Had Cocaine In His System, Fairfield Police Say FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man turned himself in to police Friday in connection with a car crash at a local preschool, police said. Thomas Rattigan, 54, of Beaconview Drive, was charged with operating while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane in the May 19 incident, police said. Fairfield Police Release Details On Attempted Murder-Suicide By Mother FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield police have identified the woman found dead in her Barlow Road home Saturday, after she apparently tried to strangle her 8-year-old daughter and took her own life nearly two years to the day after her husband had hanged himself.
