Fairfield Man Charged With Throwing Plate Of Food In Fight With Girlfriend FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after he threw a plate of food across his kitchen during a verbal altercation with his girlfriend around 6 p.m. Sunday, police said. Helvin Zumeta-Sanchez, 33, of Massachusetts Avenue, had been arguing with his girlfriend, who told police he has been physically abusive to her in the past, police said. The girlfriend, who lives with Zumetta-Sanchez, was not injured Sunday, police said. Zumeta-Sanchez was released on $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
