Snow Heavier Than Expected In Stratford Area BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Snow was still falling at a heavy clip at 10 a.m. Friday in Bridgeport, but the plows were out and streets were passable in the Black Rock neighborhood. The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in effect until 1 p.m. Heavy snow was reported throughout eastern Fairfield County, from Fairfield over to Stratford and up to Shelton and Trumbull.

Shelton Police Make 2 Drug Arrests Downtown SHELTON, Conn. — Two Shelton residents were arrested after an undercover detective witnessed a drug buy in a downtown parking lot Thursday morning that involved heroin, police said. The incident occurred at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in a parking lot at Bridgeport Avenue and Perry Hill Road, police said.  The detective stopped the woman, identified as Kari Franco, 45, of Howe Avenue, Shelton, police said.
