Officers responded to the Heatherwood apartments in East Patchogue, located just steps from NYU Langone Hospital, for a fight at around 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30. Schenectady Police responded to a residence on State Street near Furnam Street for a report of a stabbing shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, March 30. Officers located a 16-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his arm. An investigation found that the boy’s mother, 36-year-old Ashley Young, stabbed him during a dispute, police said. Young was arrested on suspicion of assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
