Two Paterson men have been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and carjacking following a violent shooting that left two people hospitalized, officials said.
Shaheem Clark, 20, and Jakahri Smith, 22, were both arrested in connection with a March 2024 shooting near 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.

At approximately 3:46 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, Officer Anthony Giaquinto pulled over a black Toyota SUV on Rutherford Avenue near Livingston Avenue for driving without a visible license plate, the Lyndhurst Police Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
