Police ID Man Who Died In House Fire In Somers Police have released the name of a 72-year-old man who died in a Northern Westchester house fire. Earlier Report - Man Found Dead After House Fire In Somers The victim is identified as Somers resident Richard Jordan, who died in a fire on Barlow Court on Monday, Dec. 26, according to state police. Jordan was found by firefighters after a full search of the house, which could only be completed after all flames were knocked out. No other people had been in the residence at the time of the fire. Trapped Driver Rescued From Car After Accident In Harrison One person is injured after they became trapped in their car following an accident in Westchester County, requiring them to be rescued. The accident happened on Tuesday, Dec. 27 around 8:45 p.m., in Harrison in the area of White Plains Avenue and High Street, according to the West Harrison Fire Department. Man Dies In Crash On Sprain Brook Parkway In Mount Pleasant: Police One person was killed after losing control of their vehicle and crossing into the opposite lane on a Northern Westchester highway, police said. K9 Officer Finds Missing Man In Freezing Temperatures In Peekskill Tragedy was avoided when a K9 officer was able to track down an elderly man who went missing in Northern Westchester in freezing conditions. Former Village Of Mamaroneck Police Chief Dies On Christmas Day A former police chief who served a community in Westchester County for more than 40 years has died. Joseph DelBianco, the former chief of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department, died on Sunday, Dec. 25 at the age of 93, according to his obituary. A member of the department for 43 years, DelBianco eventually became chief and led modernization efforts during his tenure, including the addition of computers in all police vehicles and the hiring of the village's first female officers. Woman Stabs Partner In Neck On Christmas Eve In Yorktown, Police Say A Northern Westchester woman is charged with stabbing a victim in the back of the neck after a domestic dispute on Christmas Eve, police said.
