Man Rescued After Falling Overboard Off Rye Coast: Police A man suffering a psychiatric episode was rescued from the waters of Long Island Sound after falling overboard from an anchored vessel off the coast of Westchester, police said. The incident happened on Tuesday, Sept. 12 around 3:15 p.m., when members of the City of Rye Police Marine Unit responded to a mayday call on Long Island Sound around two miles south of Milton Harbor in Rye.
