2 Victims Rescued After Suffering Burns In Cortlandt House Fire Two people were taken to a trauma center after becoming trapped inside a Northern Westchester residence that caught on fire.  The incident happened in Cortlandt on Monday, Jan. 16 around 8:45 a.m., when a residence caught on fire with people trapped inside.  According to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, arriving crews were able to extinguish the blaze and put out hot spots while also rescuing the two victims who were trapped inside.
