New Britain Man Gave Plainville High Teen Alcohol, Forcibly Raped Them: Jury Finds A 39-year-old New Britain man was found guilty of giving a high school student alcohol and sexually attacking them, authorities said.  Michael Niedzwiecki was found guilty on Thursday, April 10, of sexual assault in the first degree and giving alcohol to a minor, the State's Attorney's Office said.  A jury convicted Niedzwiecki after being told he forcibly sexually assaulted the victim, prosecutors said.  He will be sentenced on June 18.  Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Sara Greene is prosecuting the case with the assistance of Inspector David Rohon.

Wheelchair-Bound Woman Killed After Car Strike In Hartford A woman in a wheelchair was killed when she was hit by a car over the weekend, police said.  Beth Bosco, 67, of Hartford, was struck around 11:15 p.m. on Broad Street in Hartford just before it crosses over I-84. Police found her with serious injuries.  Paramedics rushed Bosco to Hartford Hospital, where she died of her injuries.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is working with police.  Hartford police urge anyone with information about the crash to contact the department's tip line at 860-722-TIPS.
