Update: CT Woman Killed By Hit-Run Driver Identified A Connecticut woman hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver has been identified by police. Original Report: Hit-Run Crash: Woman Killed After Being Struck In Waterbury New London County resident Michelle Trausch, age 36, of Norwich, was found around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, in Waterbury, in the area of 603 East Main St. Trausch was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Hartford, where she later died from her injuries. BMW Crashes In Hudson Valley After NJ Burglary, Pursuit, Police Say An occupant of a BMW SUV was seriously injured during a crash in the Hudson Valley that also involved an alleged home burglary and a police pursuit. The incident began in Bergen County, around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, in Closter and ended in Rockland County, in Palisades, a few minutes later with a violent crash that rolled the vehicle and landed it back upright. Suspect Nabbed After Woman Driving SUV Killed In Hit-Run CT Crash With Minivan A Connecticut man allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 23-year-old woman has been captured by police and charged with negligent homicide. The incident occurred in Hartford around 6:10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Adelaide Street. Sgt. 2 Men Charged With Drug Sales, Running Gambling Machines At Norwalk Store Two Fairfield County men were busted for allegedly selling cocaine and running gaming machines out of a liquor store. The arrests occurred in Norwalk on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Cocchia’s Liquor Store at 23 Ely Ave. According to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police Department, the department received information that a man named "Felix" was selling large quantities of cocaine from the store. Suicidal CT Man Who Wanted Police To 'Kill Him,' Injures Officers During Arrest, Cops Say A Connecticut man who was allegedly suicidal and wanted to be killed by police was taken into custody after fighting and injuring several officers. The incident occurred in New Haven County in Hamden on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Hamden Plaza. According to Lt. Hudson Valley Dealer Admits Selling Fentanyl, Causing 3 Deaths, 3 Overdoses A Hudson Valley man has admitted in court that he sold fentanyl that resulted in three deaths and three overdoses, according to Damian Williams, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The incidents occurred in Rockland County between Feb. 2020 and April 2022.
