Armed Granby Man Threatened To Kill Napping Couple, Yelled Racial Epithets: DA A Western Massachusetts man is being held without bail after police said he threatened to kill two people while pointing a gun and used a racial slur during a disturbing weekend encounter outside his apartment. Matthew R. Tarczynski, 43, of Granby, was arrested on seven charges, including two counts of threatening to commit murder, a civil rights violation, and drug charges, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. Man Dies In Hanson Car Fire, Authorities Investigating Cause Of Blaze Fire investigators are looking into a car fire that left a man dead early Monday, March 31. The blaze was reported around 3 a.m. on Union Street in Hanson, according to the Massachusetts Fire Marshal’s Office. When crews arrived, a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was already on fire, with the engine compartment fully engulfed in flames. Man Found Dead In Rocky Hill Apartment Parking Lot; No Foul Play Suspected Rocky Hill police are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive Monday morning, March 31, in a parking lot. Officers responded to the Concierge Apartments at 98 Cold Spring Road in Rocky Hill around 7 a.m. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s identity has not been released, pending notification of his family. Police said they do not believe foul play was involved and confirmed there is no threat to the public. Man Admits To Raping, Sexually Assaulting Pittsfield Child Multiple Times: DA A 42-year-old man from Berkshire County has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of child rape, sexual assault, and witness intimidation, authorities announced this week.
