11-Year-Old Shot In Jersey City: Authorities An 11-year-old was grazed by a bullet in Jersey City, Sunday evening, May 25, authorities said. Officers responded to Stevens Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive after the 11-year-old sustained a graze wound to the left leg, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokesperson for the mayor's office said. The child was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalfione said, and subsequently released. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle On Memorial Day: Readington PD A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Readington on Memorial Day, authorities said. At 8:26 p.m., officers responded to Route 22 East near Mountain Road and found the victim lying in the center median in cardiac arrest, Readington Township Police said. The pedestrian, who was not identified by police, was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Trauma Center, where they were pronounced dead, officers said. Videos: 3 Stabbed, 70+ Arrested Memorial Day Weekend In Seaside Heights A curfew has been installed in Seaside Heights after more than 70 people were arrested amid multiple stabbings on the boardwalk Memorial Day weekend. Three people were stabbed and 52 adults and 21 juveniles were arrested between 6 a.m. Friday, May 23 and 6 a.m. Monday, May 26, Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman said. Man Fatally Struck By Train In Summit: NJ Transit A man was fatally struck by a train near Summit Station, early Tuesday morning, May 27, authorities said. At 1:28 a.m., Morris and Essex Line train 6907, which departed New York Penn Station and was en route to Dover, struck and fatally injured the man, NJ Transit said.
