1 Dead, Another Hurt In North Branford Crash; Police Investigating One person was killed and another was severely injured following a two-car crash in North Branford Monday morning, June 20.  North Branford police were called to 999 Foxon Road just after 10 a.m.  One driver sustained critical injuries in the crash, and paramedics rushed him to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.  Authorities are withholding his identity until they can notify his family.  Responders also took the second driver to the hospital, but their injuries were considered minor, police said.  The crash is under investigation.  …

Glen Chadwell, of Pittsfield, admitted on Monday, June 16, to one count of kidnapping and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over age 14, the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office said. A judge sentenced him to 2 1/2 years for the kidnapping charge and 2 1/2 years each for the counts of indecent assault and battery.
