Domestic Violence Call Leads to Gun Arrest In Wallkill WALLKILL, N.Y. -- Jonathan A. Auston, 33, of Middleton, was arrested Wednesday on charges of assault and possession of a loaded handgun. New York State Police received a complained of an alleged past domestic assault that occurred at Auston's residence in Wallkill. He was allegedly found in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun and a small quantity of marijuana when taken into custody for the assault. Bridgeport Man Joins Ranks As Connecticut State Trooper BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Fifty-eight new graduates of the 125th Training Troop have joined the ranks of the Connecticut State Police.  Col. Brian Meraviglia, commander of the state police, congratulated and swore in the graduates, and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman addressed the class during a ceremony at Jorgensen Auditorium at the University of Connecticut. Blood Drive To Help Rochelle Park's Lois Brown ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- A blood drive in support of Lois Brown will be conducted Monday, Dec. 28 at the Rochelle Park Municipal Complex.  Brown was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in October. She has needed several infusions of both whole blood and platelets since treatment began. Brown has received two of six rounds of chemotherapy so far.  Brown moved to Rochelle Park when she was 11, moved away for a short period after getting married and then returned in 1979 to raise a family.
