PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Kathleen Ann McDermott, a lifelong Peekskill resident, died Sunday, March 27. She was 73.
She was born on May 21, 1942, in Croton-On-Hudson, N.Y. to Arnold and Bridget Bacon.
She worked as a licensed practical nurse for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Cyril T. McDermott Jr.; her daughter, Bridgette Bacon and son, Cyril T. McDermott III; her granddaughter, Summer McDermott; along with her siblings, Kevin Bacon, Frank Bacon, Mary Guilford and Patricia Hallstein.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Sandra Kay Meadows, a resident of Stamford, died Thursday, March 24. She was 64.
She was born July 2, 1951, in Mullens, W.Va., to the late Joseph and Audrey Hall Meadows.

MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Gerard A. Young, a resident of Maywood, died Friday, March 25. He was 67.He was a resident of Maywood and also of Dallax. He was a companion to his rescued canines and also was a hair stylist. He was a son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend.

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Candida Cabanacan Yazar, a resident of Hawthorne, died Thursday, March 24. She was 103.She was born in Leyte, Philippines and lived in Pandacan, a district of Manila for more than 50 years before she moved to New York City in 1976. She also lived in Leonia, Garfield and Hackensack before settling in Hawthorne, where she has lived the past 22 years.

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Dominick J. Celentano, a resident of Waretown, N.J. and formerly of Suffern, died Thursday, March 24. He was 91.He was born Aug. 4, 1924, in New York Cityto Dominick and Catherine Celentano. He had been a Suffern resident since 1967, until recently moving to Waretown.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Chromalloy in Orangeburg. After he retired, he worked for OTB in Suffern and was a member of the Suffern seniors, American Legion and the Sons of Italy.
