Members of Hackensack Fire Department IAFF Local 2081 and 3172 donated 100 turkeys and hundreds of pounds of Thanksgiving dinner fixings to the Center For Food Action in Hackensack on Monday, Nov. 21. Historic Putnam County Courthouse Gets Pillar Repairs CARMEL, N.Y. --  New York's second oldest county courthouse, located on Rt. 52 overlooking Lake Gleneida in Carmel, recently underwent much needed repairs. On Nov. 14, the Putnam Highway Department repaired the pillars, which were added to the courthouse during a renovation in 1847. The Putnam County Courthouse dates to 1814, with the first court session held Feb. 15, 1815, according to the Putnam County website.
