Bethel Man Seeks Votes In Maritime Aquarium's Lighthouse Contest NORWALK, CT – A patriotic model lighthouse made by a Bethel man is competing for the top prize in a contest at Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium. “Stars & Stripes Forever” by Charlie Weeks is among the 13 large handcrafted beacons in the holiday display, which will be open daily through Jan. 16. The contest/exhibit works like a juried art show except that thousands of Maritime Aquarium visitors are the jury. All guests who visit through Jan. 16 get a ballot and the chance to vote for their favorite entry. The lighthouse that gets the most votes wins. There are cash awards for the top prize …

State Cops Identify Driver Of Stolen Car Crashed In Police Chase In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — The driver of a stolen car that rolled over and crashed on a Mountainville Road front lawn has been identified as Ricardo Andre, 32, of Danbury, state police said. An off-duty Danbury police officer was in pursuit of the stolen 1997 Ford Explorer on Thursday when the vehicle crashed at about 10:50 a.m. at the intersection of Mountainville and Mountain roads, according to Connecticut State Police.
