Connecticut Department Of Correction To Lay Off 147 Workers
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Pink slips will be heading to 147 employees of the State Department of Corrections, announced Commissioner Scott Semple during a meeting Friday, according to NBC Connecticut. The layoffs are part of the state budget shortfall -- between $550 and $900 million -- which potentially could affect thousands of state workers. Gov.
