Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

The woman, who was seven months pregnant, was walking down the 400 block of Market Street around 11:30 a.m. May 8 with another woman and a child when a man approached them and tried to steal the chain. Both women struggled with the man, who punched the other woman in the face before fleeing the scene on foot. Union City Man Sexually Assaulted 11-Year-Old From Garfield: Prosecutor A Union City man is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl from Garfield while she was in his care last year, authorities said. Jorge Delgado, 43, assaulted the girl in December, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said. The girl’s mother contacted Union City police on Thursday and Delgado was arrested Friday following an investigation by the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit. Delgado has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Wednesday.

Orange Cabbie Sentenced To 47 Years An Orange man who gunned down a cab driver during a robbery was sentenced Monday to 47 years in prison, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said. Sheedley Pierre, 23, was convicted last month of murder, robbery, weapons oofenses, conspiracy and for using a juvenile in a crime.
