Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Woman Run Over And Seriously Injured By NJ Transit Bus In Orange A woman hit by a bus Thursday morning in Orange has suffered serious injuries*, a spokesman for the city confirmed.  The woman was running along the left side of an NJ Transit 21 bus around 11:15 a.m. when she was struck, a spokeswoman for NJ Transit said. The woman was hit near Main Street and Glenwood Avenue.  Air bags were needed to lift the bus off the woman, who was trapped beneath, the city spokesman said. Woman Charged In Attack On Bayonne School Bus Aide A 34-year-old Bayonne woman faces charges of aggravated assault, burglary and endangering the welfare of a child after police said she boarded a school bus June 19 and attacked an aide.  Monisha Green is accused of getting on the bus and pulling the 28-year-old aide's hair. In the melee, she hit a 3 -year-old girl, causing her glasses to fly off and break, police also said. The child was otherwise unhurt.  A motive for the assault was not known, police also said.  Green was being held at the Hudson County jail.

Flight From India To Newark Resumes After Security Threat: Report An Air India flight from Mumbai that was forced to land in London due to an unspecified security threat is once again headed to Newark, WABC 7 reported Thursday.  The flight was forced to land at Stanstead Airport for what the airline originally described in a tweet as a bomb threat, but that tweet was deleted, according to WABC 7.  The plane was allowed to continue on to its destination after about an hour on the ground.

Irvington Man Charged In Fatal Shooting An Irvington man has been arrested for gunning down another city resident a week ago, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.  Matthew Beckley, 26, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a weapon.
